When you decide to build a Granny Flat we can help you determine if it is built under a DA approval or it complies with the State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP).
The addition of a second storey (or more) requires special consideration and very close attention to detail when the plans are drawn up.
To begin your single story addition, we will measure and draft your existing building in CAD format, then create the required changes for a complete set of drawings suitable for a combined DA/CC application.
Quality drawings start with an accurate reproduction of your existing home. We assign a draftsperson to meet you at your home and accurately measure and photograph the building in order to produce plans and elevations prior to making any architectural changes. The accuracy of this process is critical for a smooth construction process and minimizing cost overruns through poor dimensioning and detailing. The drawings are generally produced in A3 size for ease of reproduction and all new works are colour rendered for clarity.
Once you accept our written quote we will discuss your detailed requirements with you at your residence prior to taking measurements and photographs of the building in preparation of an accurate reproduction prior to design. Plans and documentation is then done and sent to you for your checking and alterations if you wish. Only when you are happy with the plans will we issue them to you.
